A zero-player game: pick a shape, press Run, and watch it
live or die according to three rules written down in 1970. Nothing is
scored, nothing is won, and the grid wraps at the edges so nothing is lost
to the wall either. Draw on it with a pointer, or use the presets.
The rest of the family is that way.
How it works
Run starts the generations; the same button stops them, and
there is no way to make it run faster. Step advances one generation while
paused. A click or a drag on the board turns cells on and off — that part
needs a pointer, but nothing else does. The three rules are: a live cell
with two or three neighbours lives; a dead cell with exactly three
neighbours becomes alive; everything else dies or stays dead.
